A quality 51mm tamper is essential to get tamping right. When buying a Delonghi Dedica or other 51mm espresso machines like Smeg and Krups, the tamper provided leaves a lot to be desired. Not only in terms of looks but also design and weight.
The classic design of our tamper makes tamping comfortable. With the right grip and weight, tamping evenly and with pressure is easy.
When tamping is done right you will taste the results instantly as your extraction improves.
Make sure your coffee is well leveled (or distributed) before tamping to prevent an uneven extraction, you can use one of our coffee distribution tools for this.
