Product description

Coffee with a great story and a personal touch has a charm of its own. You can taste that immediately in these Guatemalan beans.

Coffee farmer Don Pedro Lopez Mendez has perfected the fermentation process over many years. This gives the beans a full, creamy body with fresh, citrus notes.

The result is a delicious, bright and summery espresso that also works beautifully in a cappuccino.

Enjoy this coffee in our Sand Yellow cup — the warm yellow tones highlight the flavours in this coffee perfectly.

Origin & details

All of our coffee is officially Specialty Coffee, including these beans from Guatemala. The Specialty Coffee Association only awards this label to coffees scoring 80 points or more out of 100 for quality and flavour.

These beans come from Finca Los Nazanjales, located in the mountainous region of Huehuetenango. Here, Don Pedro Lopez Mendez (65) and his wife have been farming their 1.3-hectare plantation for decades.

The secret behind this coffee lies in the fermentation, which lasts around 32 hours. Over the years, Don Pedro has developed a keen sense for determining the perfect moment to stop the process, resulting in bright orange-like citrus notes.
