Our barista-essentials coffee distributor has improved the extraction of many home baristas. Coffee distribution is the process of leveling to make sure your ground coffee is evenly spread throughout your portafilter.
When coffee is not leveled before tamping you run the risk of an uneven extraction as some parts of your portafilter will have more coffee than others. This results in an overly bitter or acidic taste.
Besides a better extraction, there are three more benefits of using a coffee distributor: Consistency, speed, and cleanliness.
By consistently leveling your coffee, you have one less factor in your brewing process you need to worry about. The distributor makes it easy and quick, just a couple of twists and you are done. No need to level your coffee using a finger!
Technical details
Our coffee distributor is made from stainless steel, a solid tool that will last you a lifetime.
It consists of three parts, the distributor bottom, middle ring, and top. These parts can be adjusted by screwing them into the desired position.
Depending on the size you order, our coffee distributors weigh between 378 grams for the 51mm and 478 grams for the 58mm.

Our 53.3mm coffee distributor is a perfect fit for all 54mm portafilters.
For example Sage Barista Express, Sage Barista Pro, Sage Barista Touch, Solis Grind & Infuse Pro, La Pavoni Lusso/Pisa/Si, and Saeco Poemia.
Our 58mm coffee distributor is made for QuickMill espresso machines like the 820, 835, 2820, 2835, 3000, 3035, and Evo70.
Our 58.5mm coffee distributor is are made for all other 58mm and E61 espresso machines.
For example ECM, VBM (Vibiemme), Rocket, Bezzera, La Marzocco, Profitec.
