Jasper and I (Hugo) have sipped from many espresso cups and have strong opinions about them.
The design of our matte espresso cup is, in our opinion, perfect. But at Barista Essentials, we’re always looking for innovation and improvement.
With these cups, we give your coffee moment a new layer of meaning. The three different colors subtly influence how you experience the taste of your espresso.

An espresso cup for every taste
The right colour enhances certain characteristics of your espresso, such as sweetness, freshness, or richness.
With this idea in mind, we designed these three espresso cup colours:
Terracotta Pink: A pink hue highlights the sweet notes in your espresso. Perfect with our Cuban beans.
Pine Green: The interaction with green brings out subtle floral, spicy, and citrus notes. A great match for the earthy Sulawesi coffee beans or the vibrant Brazil-Ethiopia blend.
Sand Yellow: Choose warmth with yellow and enhance the rich, full-bodied flavors of your espresso. Try this espresso cup with our Guatemala beans.
Espresso Cups with a Story
At Barista Essentials, we don’t just design barista tools. We carefully consider every millimeter of the products we make.
That’s why our half-glazed espresso cups have the following features:
- 60ml capacity for single or double espresso
- Curved bottom designed to preserve your crema
- Stackable, even on top of your machine
- Porcelain, stronger than ceramic
- Thinner walls heat up faster
- Well protected against scratches and wear
- Dishwasher safe, fired at 1250°C
